Hamarikyu Gardens
A serene landscape garden set on the Sumida River. With a history dating back to the 1654, the pretty garden is now an oasis of calm surrounded by towering modern skyscrapers. Easily accessed by train or ferry.
Kyu Shiba Rikyu Garden
A former imperial garden from the Edo Period, now open to the public. Considered the most beautifully designed garden in Tokyo, and one of the most beautiful scenes in Japan.
Tokyo Tower
One of the best known icons of Tokyo, this 333m tall broadcast tower was built in 1958 modelled on the Eiffel Tower (but slightly taller). The observation decks at 150m and 250m can offer views of Mt. Fuji on a clear day.
Zojoji Temple
Once the family temple of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, Zojoji Temple has a history dating back to 1393. Six Tokugawa shoguns and family are buried on the grounds.
