COVID-19 Gradual Reopening

This region is beginning the slow process to reopen after the COVID-19 closures.

Measures are in place to prevent the further spread of the virus, and social distancing and hand sanitisation rules will still apply.

Some venues in this area may remain closed or be disrupted, however many are gradually allowing visitors again.

About Osaka

Osaka is a port city on the Seto Inland Sea, the third largest city in Japan, and the largest in the Kansai region. It has a vibrant food and nightlife culture and is often called “Japan’s Kitchen”.

Despite a long history as the place where people in Japan do business, ironically Kansai people have a reputation for being a little bit too laid back! When Tokyo is busy, it has the feel of commuter bustle; but when Osaka gets busy, it has the feel more like a festival.
