Opened in 1936, the museum houses an eclectic collection of over 8,000 works, mostly Japanese but with a wide range of origins. Surrounded by the picturesque Keitakuen Garden.
Built in 593, considered to be the oldest temple in Japan and the first to be built by the state. Reconstructed several times but always a faithful reproduction of the 6th century design.
